The mosque, named after Mahramah Sultan, daughter of Suleiman the Magnificent, stands out as an architectural work signed by Mimar Sinan, between 1562 and 1565 at the request of the Sultan. The mosque is built in a unique structure, surrounded by an impressive dome 37 meters high and 20 meters in diameter. The Mahramat Sultan Mosque, located in Edirnekapi, differs from other Ottoman mosques by its only minaret structure.
