Al-Fateh Mosque was built 10 years after the conquest. The mosque, which took 7 years to build, was completed in 1470 when the first earthquake destroyed the mosque in 1766, it was rebuilt in 1771, and the mosque that remains today is the second mosque built. The mosque was named after the second. It was taken from Muhammad. The mosque was built on the site of the Church of the Holy Apostles, which dates back to the 4th century AD, which was in ruins. This church has the distinction of being one of the most important stops in Istanbul for Christians. The Al-Fateh Mosque Square is one of the largest mosques. For this reason, funerals of important people for the public and the state are usually held in this mosque. The complex also includes the tombs of Muhammad and his wife, which has a real history.
