The Maidens Tower, one of the most famous buildings in Istanbul, the tower visited by millions of domestic and foreign tourists every year, is one of the most important historical buildings in Turkey. Virgo is especially important in terms of symbolizing Istanbul. Although there is no exact information about the date of construction of the tower, it is estimated that it was built in 341. The tower was used for many different functions such as collecting taxes from merchant ships, defense, lantern, quarantine hospital and radio station in the cholera epidemic of 1830.
