The Japanese Garden, is a garden created in cooperation between Japan and Turkey and managed by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. It was completed in 2003 by the city of Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, together with Istanbul, which has a sister city agreement for the Japanese Year in Turkey. It was renovated in cooperation between the two countries in November 2015, becoming an even more impressive park.
