Ihlamur Palace, one of the ascension pavilions used by the sultans for daily rest during the Ottoman Empire, with its architectural appearance bearing traces of the neo-baroque movement, dates back to the 19th century. It was a green recreation area, which was later included in the state treasury and became a private park.
