The only remaining structure from the first palace that was built after the conquest of Edirne is the Bath Palace. The bath, which was used only by the palace at first, later began to serve the public. According to historians, the reason for its survival is that it was used in the construction of Selimiye. While this hammam, next to the Selimiye Mosque, was closed since the Balkan War, restoration work was carried out and reopened as a double hammam, open every day of the week.
