Edirne Museum, which is a museum of archeology, valuable ethnographic artifacts and tombstones are displayed to its visitors. There was no need to open any other museum outside the museum which possessed sufficient wealth in terms of the works it contained. It is located in the Dar Al-Hadith school located in the square of the Sulaimi Mosque. The ethnography section of the museum was opened in 1936 and entered service in the thirteenth year of Edirne. Support was provided by bringing in some valuable artifacts from Ankara Ethnographic Museum and Topkapi Palace Museum.
