Among the ancient palaces of Edirne, the palace has the architectural features of a Turkish cultural house. The palace, which occupies an important historical place, is the place where the secret meetings of the Federation and Teraki Committee were held. This palace, where important meetings of Talaat Pasha and his friends were held, was opened as a city museum in 2002 by the Edirne Governors Office after restoration work. It is used as a UNESCO office after the Selimiye Mosque was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
