The Old Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque, the oldest mosque, the mosque was built in 1403 by order of Prince Suleiman Celebi bin Bayezid I. It was originally built as a Friday mosque, although it does not attract as much attention as the Selimiye Mosque, the inscriptions and symbols that have important meanings, especially the inscriptions of God and Muhammad inscribed in Arabic calligraphy, make this place an impressive spiritual place. Another detail that makes this mosque important is the presence of a small piece of the Kaaba, which was brought from Mecca and known as the Yamani Corner, in this mosque as well.
