When Orhan Gazi conquered Bursa in 1326, the city consisted of a fortress. In the following years, urbanization began to take place, and Sultan Orhan first implemented it in 1339. At that time, a complex consisting of a mosque, a school, an emirate, a bathhouse was built and a jakir bath was built along the bridge to the swamp floor of the Gokder bed. Gazi Orhan Bey Mosque, which gives an intense spiritual feel, is older than the Grand Mosque and is one of the oldest mosques in Bursa, and welcomes us as a point where time should be allocated between the historical buildings of Bursa.
