It was founded in the 7th century BC as a result of the coming of the Bethians and their settlement here. On the advice of the Carthaginian general Hannibal, King Prosius of Bithynia built the city, which he called Brucias ad Olympum, on a hill in 185 BC and surrounded it with walls. Over time, its name changed from Prusias to Prusa and later to Bursa. The Bursa Castle, built by the Bithynians, was damaged by the siege over the years. It was restored many times during the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods. Orhan Gazi, who occupied Bursa in 1326, added it to the Ottoman lands. Two-kilometer city walls; It has five doors: Hissar (Sultans), Cabliga, Zendan, Bainarbashi (Water), and Earth. The walls also support forts.
