It was put into operation in 1968. The museum extends over an area of 4 thousand square meters. Consists of three floors and five sections, it displays models of plants and animals that lived in our country in the past and are still alive. There are approximately 6 thousand. 400 species of fossil material on the ground floor. One of the most interesting ones is the fossil of carnivorous dinosaurs obtained from the United States and the skeleton of an elephant that lived in France 15 million years ago, as a gift from France. On the other floor, there are more than 3,300 works decorated with petrographic examples. Among these artifacts, there are interesting artifacts such as moonstone that was brought from the moon in 1972, meteorites of various sizes that fell in the Solh Khalil village in the Yildizli region of Sivas in 1989, and the richest marble samples in our country.
