Abdeen Pasha Palace was built in 1860 as the rulers palace. Abdin Pasha showed his outstanding success in administration by serving as governor of Ankara for 8 years. According to legend, Abidin Pasha suspended his lungs at various points in Ankara in order to locate the location of the palace and issued an order to build the palace in the place where the liver was broken at the latest. The palace also trained officers for the army during the War of Independence in 1920, and these officers achieved great victories during the liberation struggle.
