According to the inscription of the pulpit, the Sultan Alaeddin Mosque dates back to the year 1178, it is one of the works of the Seljuk era, and the first place built by the Seljuk Turks in Ankara. Numerous renovations, especially in the 14th and 15th centuries, affected the historical structure of this simple-looking mosque. This mosque was named after the Sultan since it was restored during the reign of the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin.
