Announced 1959. Its area is 1050 hectares, while in 1997 the boundary changes made in 1187 hectares were discovered. It is a region dominated by forests located in the transition zone from the western Black Sea region to central Anatolia. The endangered black eagle and some species of eagles nest in the national park, as well as predators such as bear, wolf, fox, sable, deer, wild boar, hare and squirrel.
