Urfa Gate, one of the four main gates of the city walls of Diyarbakir. The first entrance to the gate, which had two different entrances in the ancient period, was decorated with nails inspired by many animal heads, especially the symbol of the double-headed eagle. The second entrance is the arched stone door, which was directly connected to the Church of the Virgin Mary during the Byzantine period and was frequently used by priests and nuns. The third entrance you will see during your visit is a building that was built later.
