The magnificent Jamil Pasha Palace, one of the most prominent examples of civic architecture in the city, was built in 1888 as a private residence, the fact that the Jamil Pasha family participated in societies that would cast a shadow over our struggle for independence, such as the Sheikh Said rebellion, led to the Exile them after the end of the war, and confiscate all their property by the state.
