One of the historical mosques in the Tire district of Diyarbakir, the Suleyman Mosque was built between 1155-1160 by Nisanoglu Ebel Kasim. The building, which is also known as Nasiriyah Kali Mosque and Murtaza Pasha Mosque, has a plan in the Seljuk style, while its architecture has Arab influences. Between 1631 and 1633, the mosque and its adjacent section were renovated by the governor Salhtar Morteza Pasha, among the highlights are the prayer hall, the fountain and the tomb in the western part of the mosque, there is a tomb and a fountain in the northern part of the mosque.
