The underground city, discovered by accident in 2006, was cleaned up and entered service in 2007. The underground city of Gazimir, unlike other underground cities, was not built for protection, but for housing. At the same time, the citys underground use as caravansaries was the first in the region and in the world. It extends over a very large area, is spacious and its entrances are very comfortable, unlike other underground cities. It consists of food stores, small and large stoves, tandoori, kitchen, bathroom and places of rest.
