Ancient City of Aegay Excavations began in the area in 2004. The ancient city, estimated to date back to the 8th century BC, became one of the important trading points of the Hellenistic period. There are many ancient monuments such as the 3-storey Agora, the supporting stones of the building, the parliament building, the theater and the temple.
