The museum was opened in 2013 and contains documents, information, photos and materials related to Samsuns social, historical, cultural, geographical and economic structure. Consists of seven sections, floor A1; Information and documents on famous Samsun, chronological history of Samsun, period of war of independence and tobacco. The B1 floor contains the story of population exchanges and migrations, disasters in the history of the city, the past state of the city and the museum building. On the B2 floor; Samsons demographic structure in the period of the Republic is included, along with information about Ataturk, the governor, and mayors. On the B3 floor; Explanation of transportation in Samsun with its historical and architectural structures, on the C1 floor; Hunting is described by wax carvings. On the C2 floor are the history of sports, education, communications, geographical structure, and relevant economic and tourism documents. On the C3 floor; The citys health, food culture, and wedding traditions are explained through the wax sculptures.
