With the construction of the Durban Dam on Kizilermak between 1984 and 1990, some 200 buildings were flooded. The only structure that survived the inundation was the minaret of the mosque. The unique view of the minaret on the water has made the surrounding environment one of the favorite places for photographers and hikers. The area where the safari and hunting trips take place is a favorite place for photography enthusiasts.
