Gatalgam beach, which has very clean water due to the lack of construction, the length of the beach that Samsun residents prefer in the summer months is 353 meters and is not similar to the Aegean beaches with its clean water and soft sand. Catalkam Beach, which was awarded the Blue Flag in 2015 for its cleanliness, is one of the seven blue flag beaches in the Black Sea region. It is also the only blue flag beach in Samsun.
