Its construction was completed in 1924. The library was used as a library after its construction, it was later used for various purposes such as the province and the gendarmerie, and Governor Faten Bey opened the library, in 1925, it consists of two floors. It was restored in 2002 after it attained the qualifications of the National Library in 1916 and opened as a painting and portrait gallery.
