Ibn Najar Mosque, also known as Eliguzel Mosque, is one of the oldest buildings in Kastamonu. It was built by Kandaroglu Adel Bey in the year 1335. Once you see the mosque, the first thing that catches your eye are the wooden door wings. The doors decorated with wood carving art make the impressive view of the mosque impressive. On the other hand, the Ibn al-Najjar Mosque, whose last gathering place and minaret was destroyed by the earthquake in 1943, passed through restoration work in 1968 and took on its current form.
