Gulek Castle, which has a very strategic location in the region, was very important for monitoring the Bosphorus and it is estimated that it was built in the Middle Ages. When the workmanship in the castle is examined, it is found that the castle was renovated at different points in different periods. Today there are not many structures left of the castle. It is often famous for the pictures that people take as if they were on a cliff, which you will find a lot on the internet. The rock on which the photo was taken is known as the fake cliff rock or Instagram rock. If you want to take a great photo in this way, you can visit the castle and enjoy the wonderful view in a historical place. Of course it helps to know that the road is somewhat challenging for vehicles.
