The ancient city of Sebastia, is a Roman city dating back to the second century BC. The name of the city comes from Al-Zaytoun. As a result of these researches, many important monuments such as baths, theaters, and sarcophagi from the second century AD have been found. The theater has a capacity of 2,300 and consists of 23 steps. During the excavations, a 4.5-kilometer royal road was discovered from the cemetery to Kizkalesi.
