Mersin Maritime Museum, opened in 2010, because of the collections it contains, it occupies an important place in the worlds museums. In the great main hall of the museum, which houses more than 500 artifacts and a library of 800 books, reflecting the history of the Turkish naval war in all its details; Models of ships, ensigns, coats of arms, military clothing, firearms and oil paintings are on display. Painting and ship modeling workshops were opened to support the fields of culture and art.
