Ali Pashas Hammam, dating from 1572, was built using cut stone. It is a fine example of Ottoman bath architecture. It was badly damaged in the earthquakes that occurred in Tokat in 1939 and 1943, and it has been repaired. The mens and womens sections are separate and adjacent. The only difference between the two sections is that the hot part of the mens section has a criss-cross outline and the navel stone is covered with a dome. It is covered with domes of different sizes. The tops of the domes were painted with lead in 1966, which makes them even more solid. The bath is still actively used today. The hammam is among the historical places that must be seen to learn about the culture and historical texture of the Turkish hammam.
