Houses proved their strength, the earthquakes that were subjected to them during the Ottoman period, greatly affected the city’s entry into the UNESCO World Heritage List. Thanks to the historical and cultural values of the homes, the homes were included on this list on December 17, 1994. First floor is stone, other floors, wooden space. In the center of these houses, where 3 generations lived together, there is a large hall and small rooms opening onto this hall. House shapes are shaped according to the size and financial situation of the families who live in the house. In other words, it was possible to get an idea of the house due to the size and ostentation of the house. It is estimated that there are about 2000 of these historic buildings in the area, 800 of these homes are protected by laws and their transmission to future generations is guaranteed.
