Izzat Pasha Mosque is a mosque in Mamoura Al-Aziz, the commissioner to build the mosque, Haji Ahmed Izzat Pasha, governor of Mamoura Al-Aziz during the era of the Ottoman Empire. It was completed in 1866. Its structure would not have lasted a century. In 1967 it was demolished by Izvak, an institution established to renovate the mosque. In 1972 the mosque was rebuilt and reopened. The dome is 20 meters 66 feet in diameter and its minarets are 55 meters 180 feet. The mosque also includes 115 shops on the ground floor built to provide revenue to maintain the mosque
