Batumi Botanical Garden, one of the largest botanical gardens in the world, was founded in 1912 by the famous botanist and geographer Andrei Krasnov. It is located at the meeting point of nature and the sea, on a large area of 111 hectares, 9 kilometers from the city center between the Chakvestcalli River and Cape Verde. The park is spacious enough to spend almost an entire day. There are clusters of subtropical plants, and there are clusters of succulents, palms, roses, camellias, citrus, bamboos, magnolias, pine trees, hazelnuts, dates and maples among the plants youll see while walking the long garden paths. We can say that it is a great place for sightseeing with its 125 year old trees.
