The mosque was built in 1886 by Aslan Bey, a member of the Himsiashvili family. The walls of the mosque, and every detail of it is a work of very good taste, meticulously painted by Laz masters. The woodwork on the door of the mosque really fascinates the people. Although it is not a very big mosque, it gives people peace with its friendly atmosphere.
