Yafshan Nature Park was declared in 2009, and this area covers an area of 348 hectares. The natural park which is divided into three uses as an absolute protection area, a limited use area and a controlled use area, is surrounded by cedar trees and various types of endemic flora and fauna. There are 529 taxa distributed in 67 families and 287 genera on the plateau, which is very rich in terms of plant species. Species bullfir, bull cedar, black pine, juniper, aspen and oak are often seen on the plateau, and there are also wild walnut in streams, and include such types of shrubs as cranberry, rosehip, ivy, and sumac. There are many animals like wild boar, wolf, fox, rabbit, different types of birds, marten, squirrel and herds of goats.
