The Sheih Mosque, said to have been built in 1680 in some historical sources, was built in earlier dates. The mosque, which is known to have been built at the request of Sheikh Hussein Deed, also has a minaret that was built in 1727. The peculiarity of the mosques minaret is that the cannonball that hit the minaret during the War of Independence has survived to this day without exploding. The mosque, which recently underwent changes to its minaret, still maintains its original shape.
