The foundations of the Burdur Archaeological Museum were laid in 1956 for the first time, the museum began hosting its visitors in its new building in 2006, built in a manner similar to the architecture of the Berkolzad Historical Library. Where artifacts collected from ancient excavation sites in and around Burdur are on display, nearly 60,000 artifacts from antiquity to the present day are on display, boasting a very rich collection.
