The Trabzon Historical Museum was opened to visitors in 2016. The museum is located in the Hafez Sultan Palace, which is a historical house on the street where Al-Kanuni was born. Postcards about Trabzon, inscriptions for visitors to the city, official documents for various correspondences and documents about the liberation struggle are displayed. In the museum archive there are 7,800 documents, 2,200 photographs, and very special ethnographic collections. The museum also houses the archive donated by artist Attila Alp Bulukbashi.
