Pokot plateau is located at an altitude of 2020. A very popular plateau in terms of tourism for its unspoilt nature and stunning scenery. It is estimated that the first settlement on the Pokot plateau, which means valley of winds in Armenian, occurred about 200 years ago. Pokot Plateau, one of the most beautiful Ayder plateaus, gets filled with local and foreign tourists every summer, although it is located in a hard-to-reach spot. The people of the plateaux are pleased with the hospitality and welcoming tourists in their homes with tables decorated with delicious Ayder food. Additionally, there are small pension style wooden highland homes where you can stay. The best time to go to the Pokot Plateau is between June and September, but dont forget to take a sweater or cardigan!
