The Vertina River, one of the symbols of Ayder and even the Black Sea, is a mythical stream that has been the subject of films. One of the largest rivers in the eastern Black Sea basin, with an area of 1177.03 km2, is approximately 58 km long. It flows into the Black Sea, as a stream consisting of a mixture of streams flowing from the slopes of the Kachkar Mountains within the boundaries of the Camlihemsin area. Water sports such as kayaking are conducted in Fertina Creek, which has been considered a nature reserve, and exercises are offered in this area. There are many historical stone bridges on Fertina Creek, which are awe-inspiring.
