Ramadan Pasha Mosque The mosque, which was built in 1595 at the request of Ramadan Pasha, Hafiz Pashas brother, was destroyed in an earthquake in 1899 after it was burnt by a large fire. The mosque, reconstructed in 1901, appears to be a mixture of European and Ottoman architecture in the image that has survived to this day. The mosque, which attracts attention with its yellow color, also hosted the resistance meeting in 1919 during the War of Independence.
