Ilyas Bey Mosque, is one of the oldest mosques in Aydin. It was built by Elias Bey of Menciogolari in 1404, in the Sok district. The mosque made of marble stone is also known as Friday Mosque. Eye-catching with its marble carvings and arched windows, it is admired by all who see it with its simple structure. The mosque, which has 8 windows, has a very special place among the mosques of Aydın with its interior design. It is reported that the marble stones were brought from the ancient city of Miletus.
