The mosque, which was built between 1414-1420 at the request of Sultan Mehmed I, is also known as Jarshi Mosque. The building, which has 12 different domes and looks like a work of art with its colorful interior architecture, is one of the last sultans of the Ottoman Empire, the second. It was repaired by Abdul Hamid and remains to this day. The poplar tree, believed to be 450 years old, makes the mosque even more significant.
