Although the mosque does not have an inscription, it is known to have been built by Sungur Beh, who was the ruler of Nigde, around 1335. It is known that the wings of the wooden door of the minbar and the door of the northern crown of the mosque were made by Hoka Ibobakir, and the wooden wings of the door of the eastern crown, which were built in later periods, were made by masters named Haji Muhammad. The outside dimensions of the mosque are 28.45 x 37.10 meters. There is a door on three sides of the mosque and a tomb on the eastern side. There are traces of Gothic architecture in the mosques iwan, which is covered with a rib vault. On the walls there are decorations consisting of floral, geometric and animal motifs. Restoration work on the mosque began in 2018. Although it has undergone many repairs, the Singer Bay Mosque, which has survived to this day, maintains its original characteristics and functions, except for the cover system and minarets. While the building used a gunpowder cellar until the 18th century, it burned down as a result of a neighborhood fire in the middle of the current century, and the minarets and the covering system were completely destroyed. And then it was restored and took the form of a mosque with wooden columns and a flat floor ceiling.
