It is considered one of the oldest houses of worship in the city. It was built by the Ottoman ruler Haji Ahmed Izzat Pasha in 1866. It became unusable after suffering some damage. In 1967 it was decided to demolish and rebuild the mosque, with the efforts of the existing institution. The construction of the mosque was completed in 1972 and the mosque was opened for worship and visitors, being It is one of the oldest mosques and the first mosque with a minaret with an elevator that makes the mosque special, built with dimensions of 44 x 28.5 meters, consisting of one portico in the back and two on the sides, the diameter of the dome of the mosque is 20 meters, 25 small domes were built in the mosque, the architecture of Ottoman mosques was taken as an example , two minarets and two balconies were built, the 115 shops in the basement of the mosque make this place not only a place of worship but also a commercial center, and these shops work mostly on jewellery.
