It was established in 1960 under the leadership of the Faculty of Science at Aegean University, to contribute to biology. This place is the first botanical institution in the country and it should be noted that Turkey works to promote and protect herbal wealth all over the world. It is visited by elementary, high school and high school students frequently. The botanical garden decorated with colorful roses is located on an area of 48 thousand square meters and hosts more than 3 thousand species of plants. Consists of 13 separate greenhouses, exhibition gardens, regular parcels, arboretum, orchards, ponds, greenhouses divided into sections such as tropical plants, cacti, hail, ornamental plants, and research greenhouses; There are 250 tropical trees and ornamental shrub varieties and nearly 200 types of cacti.
