Filius Castle, believed to have been founded in the 7th century BC, has a unique view of the sea. This place did not have much influence on the political arena from its foundation until its destruction, and the Romans burned it in 70 BC. The city, which still exists in a quiet way, was accepted as an important religious center by the Byzantines in the 5th century AD. It is believed that the castle was in use during the Roman, Byzantine and medieval eras. There are important structures such as canals, theater, tower and tombs in the castle.
