The area has been declared a nature reserve due to the presence of very ancient spruce forests that have been taken under state protection. Therefore, any activity that may cause harm such as burning a forest fire is strictly prohibited. Spread over a vast area of 324 hectares, there are trees such as beech, hornbeam, strawberry, hazelnut, wild cherry as well as fir in Uludag.
