The historic Salah al-Din Mosque on Vali Fuat Bey Street, located in the center of Şanlıurfa, was originally built as a church in AD 457 and served with Bishop Nona for many years, so named because it was used as a mosque for the first time in Saladins time. Restoration of the mosque, which was built on the church in the early nineteenth century, the last time in 1993 and opened for worship, the mosque was restored between 2010-2011.
