Khalil Rahman Mosque, located near the fish lake, the historical building also known as Doshimi Mosque among the residents of Urfa, was built at the request of Reverend Orbisius, is a historical church built in 504 in the name of Mary, the mother of Christ, the building is also referred to as the Ibrahim Khalil Inn by Olya Chalabi. The building, which was converted into a mosque during the Abbasid era, was restored by Saladins nephew in the thirteenth century AD and Suleiman the Magnificent in the sixteenth century. The mosque, which underwent extensive restoration in 1810, has arrived to the present day completely intact.
