Hatay, which hosts 13 out of 23 civilizations established in the world, is one of the most important historical and cultural centers in Turkey. It was a city where the cultures of Turks, Arabs, Armenians, Circassians, Christians, Muslims and Jews lived together for centuries. This cultural richness made Hatay a unique and rich cuisine, thanks to 600 types of Local cuisine, it became the second city in Turkey, after Gaziantep, to be registered as a city of gastronomy by UNESCO, the municipality opened the UNESCO House of Culinary Arts, it has the privilege of being the first in Turkey, unique consisting entirely of local delicacies.
